In this class, Aalya teaches students to efficiently coordinate breath and movement. The sequence also improves concentration, balance, flexibility and mobility which are mostly overlooked in gym workouts. You’ll improve your posture, mood, self-awareness and overall fitness.
Restorative Yoga is a necessary counter balance to the weekly active practice, and has an enormous capacity TO EASE SYMPTOMS OF STRESS. It brings you a deep sense ofGROUNDING, PEACE AND RELAXATION. In this class you will use various props and the sequences will be focused on passive release, and awareness of breath.
This 75 minute class will focus on yogic breathing, vinyasa, and yoga nidra in order to get over the midweek hump. Expect Rejuvenation and Focus to come back. We will learn progressively more advanced pranayamas (breathing) and techniques to relax more quickly through simple to advanced yoga nidra instruction. Yoga nidra is the art of physical, emotional, mental, and psychic release.
Ashtanga Yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures. Student will be taught the Primary Series in a step by step manner which will be modified based on the student’s level.
This class is designed to be accessible to all. We create this class based on a donation fee for everyone in (or travel to) Phnom Penh to practice Yoga in our wonderful studio. This 60-minute class incorporates different aspects of asana (postures) as well as restorative and breath exercise.
