Yoga Core

Yoga Core

A Hatha class that is suitable for all levels and is focused on strengthening the core, combining traditional yoga postures and bandhas (body lock). The CORE muscles are the muscles deep within the abdominals and back, attaching to the spine and pelvis. The “core” refers to the back, front, and sides of the torso, as well as our emotional center. A strong core enhances our yoga practice immeasurably and promotes healthy postures off the mat as well.

Vinyasa Yoga at UYA taught in a flow style, combining movement with breath. This powerful form of yoga has a positive effect on all three faculty – body, mind and soul. This class is open for practitioners of all levels who are looking to move with a dynamic asana practice, while maintaining safety as priority.

Early morning is the best time to set the tone of your day with yoga where you will open your mind, relieve stress and strengthen your body with confidence and joy. This targeted for success practice will develop a positive mindset for goal setting that will sustain you throughout your day.

PISETH invites you to join him in this 6.30 AM morning Yoga routine that will greatly enhance your work and life balance. Rise to Success session is taught in FLOW STYLE that combines the open mantra, kriya, pranayama, asana and silent meditation.

A necessary counterbalance to the weekly active practice, and has an enormous capacity to ease symptoms of stress. It brings you a deep sense of grounding, peace, and relaxation. In this class you will use various props and the sequences will be focused on passive release, and awareness of breath.

Lunch Crunch Yoga

Lunch Crunch Yoga

Lunch Crunch Sessions are for you to take an hour on your lunch breaks to engage in a yoga practice which lets your mind and body open up and release tension. If you work in an office job that requires you to sit at a desk from 8am to 5pm, taking some time during your lunch break to complete this 60 minute class is the perfect solution to fighting the midday slump.

Happy Morning Flow aims to uplift your spirits, increase your vitality, and bring a smile to your face as you flow through the sequences with a sense of ease and contentment. By the end of the practice, you feel rejuvenated, refreshed, and ready to take on the day with a positive energy and a happy heart.

Alignment-based Hatha is designed for students seeking to deepen their practice and refine their skills with a strong emphasis on alignment and body structures for a safer and more effective yoga practice. This class, led by our director Piseth Lun, who has undertaken serious study with world-renowned teachers in the Hatha yoga tradition, including Ashtanga and Iyengar systems, incorporates the use of props to assist practitioners of all levels.

Weekly focus:

  • Week 1: Standing and Inversions
  • Week 2: Forward Extensions and Twists
  • Week 3: Backward Extensions
  • Week 4: Inversions and Arm Balances
  • Week 5: Restorative Yoga

By exploring different asana systems each week, students can gradually advance in their practice and effectively integrate meditation into their routine.
